Volunteer

The easiest way to get involved is to volunteer. Volunteer tasks can include, but are not limited to: helping lead tours during public hours on Saturdays, setup/cleanup before or after events, fixing tools, construction, maintenance of the space, and more.

All volunteers who meet the monthly minimum of 9 volunteer hours receive free membership to YMS.

Teach a Class

Have a passion for teaching? Have a skillset in woodworking, ceramics, CNC, 3D printing, robotics, fabric arts, or another craft? We need your help to teach children or adults.

Donate Tools, Machines, or Materials

We have limited space at the studio and donations are considered on a case-by-case basis. Reach out to info@yakimamakerspace.org and let us know what you have.

We always accept:

Functioning PC and Mac Computers
Pottery supplies (clay, tools, glazes, wheels)
Woodworking supplies (wood, tools, finishes)
Fabrics (yarn, sewing machines)

Join the Board

We are actively seeking members for the board. If you are good at fundraising, being a spokesperson for the space, making business connections and providing leadership, then please apply for to be considered for board membership. Applications can be found at the front desk or by emailing info@yakimamakerspace.org.
